Foggy Bottom is one of the oldest late 18-19th century neighborhoods in Washington D.C. It is west of the Whites house & downtown Washington D.C. Much of the Foggy Bottom is occupied by the main campus of George Washington University. Foggy Bottom was also the name of a line of beer which was produced in the area. In the early 1960’s the brewery land were sold and razed to make way for the JFK Center. The Foggy Bottom beer was then brewed in Utica NY. The was a classic train line that ran from NY to Washington D.C. which is where we derived our name from. Although the train doesn’t run anymore there is still an operating train station in Washington D.C called Foggy Bottom Train station.
